Danser Group (Logistics Service Provider in Container Logistics)

Danser is a private logistics service provider in container logistics. Founded in 1982 from inland shipping, but also active on rail, road and with projects and related services. In 2021, the group transported over 1.6 million TEU, largely by water, with an extensive fleet of own and chartered vessels. Danser has a strong position in Northwestern Europe and its own offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Switzerland.

With an annual turnover of over 70 million, Danser Group was one of the largest players in container transport in Europe in 2023. Danser Group’s fleet includes eight inland vessels (four under the Dutch flag and four under the Swiss flag) that can form four couplings. In addition, Danser Group had a fleet of approximately 70 charter vessels at its disposal.

The Euro-Rijn Group from Moerdijk had acquired the Danser Group in 2024. At that time, Danser employed 140 people. Danser would continue to operate in container transport under its own name. Albert van Ommen, CEO of Euro-Rijn Group B.V., expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition. “We have known Danser for a long time as a solid company that also shares our values of quality, sustainability and customer focus. Furthermore, a partnership with Danser will offer additional possibilities for Euro-Rijn customers for multimodal transport on European inland waterways.”
